Long day

So was awake for approx. 34.5 hours straight from Saturday morning through to Sunday night. World Cup Final and all. Absolute farce at the end but it was worth it just to see that Gilly innings!!

By the time it was over it was about 8am and it was either try to get some sleep and waste the day or stay up and do stuff. We collectively chose to stay up and do stuff. Surprisingly I didn't feel too tired today. Until the end of it and right now am beginning to get tired. Might be another early night tonight methinks...

Confirmation

This is confirmation that it is not only the boys in my social group that do this....

.... if it's good enough for the (hopefully) World Cup Winning Australian Cricket team it's good enough for me!

Unix = User Friendly?

People say unix is not user friendly, I say it is... it's just picky about who it's friends with.

Apprehension

It's been a while since I've been this apprehensive before footy training. Tonight I am expecting hell and a few hints I've seen indicate I might be going to get it. To understand why I'm worried I'll review the facts for you:

1) there are no games this weekend for any team due to Easter weekend
2) training on Thursday might be cancelled due to the Lions match Thursday night @ the Gabba
3) the 3rds competition starts the weekend after Easter... Yeronga 3rds have a bye

Soooo no footy matches for three weeks for the 3rds and maybe one less training session than normal. This all adds up to disaster for Mick @ training I feel. I can just see us getting hit hard.

After the Seniors match on Saturday the boys were seemingly reluctant to do proper warm downs. Karly, the fitness coach, said to them "If you knew what you were doing Tuesday you'd be stretching now believe you me"... when prompted for what was happening she made running motions by pumping her arms... running... joy...

*sigh*

Oh well time to waterload, more than usual, to ensure I don't barf during training. For now though a 600mL Coke is being drunk to at least wake me up. *yawn*

Weirdness

Had to blog this... this photo was on FoxSports with this headline underneath:

Brad Johnson kicks Western Bulldogs to victory over Geelong at Telstra Dome.

Now Brad Johnson isn't in the picture at all nor does it showing him kicking them to victory. Although some may argue it could be illustrating someone "scoring".

Too weird and too funny a pic not to post. Weirdness.
